After the brushes of the micromotor are worn out, they should be replaced according to the manufacturer's regulations. When replacing part of the brushes, it must be ensured that the brushes of the entire micromotor are of the same grade. Because if the grades of the brushes are different, the current distribution between the brushes will be uneven. If there is no brush with the same brand as the original, all the brushes of the whole machine need to be replaced.
After replacing the micro-motor brushes, be sure to grind the contact surface between the brush and the collector ring with glass sandpaper, not with emery cloth, because it falls off into the joints between the commutator segments, so that the brushes, The collector ring is worn out.
After grinding, blow it off with compressed air. The pressure of the brush can be adjusted by the spring on the brush holder. The difference between the pressure of each brush should not exceed ±10%, the pressure can be measured with a spring scale, 20~25kPa is suitable. If a micro-motor replaces more than half of the brushes at one time, it is best to run it at a light load for more than 12 hours, so that the brushes and the collector ring have better cooperation, and then run at full load.
